Gayane Sargsyan’s patriotism is embodied in the “Iriqnak” clothing brand, which primary mission is to preserve and share the cultural and historical heritage of Artsakh with the world. Living in Stepanakert, Gayane has always admired the landmarks and unique culture of Artsakh, which later became the source of inspiration for Iriknak. The brand’s clothing is distinguished by traditional patterns, giving customers the opportunity to feel the spirit of Artsakh.

The war and displacement initially hindered the brand’s growth, but Gayane’s and the co-founders’ resilience and dedication were unconditional. This was proved by the first Iriqnak collection created shortly after displacement, dedicated to Hadrut, especially to Dizapayt.

Iriqnak pays special attention to ensuring that the materials used are not of  Turkish origin and that the Armenian essence remains unchanged. Each product includes a small card, that reminds people of the occupied territories of Artsakh, making the brand both stylish and distinctly Armenian. One of the brand's unique features is that the designs intended for the local market are tailored to the body shapes of women in the region, while European standards are applied for the international market.

As a co-founder, Gayane herself always tests the clothing samples to assess their comfort and quality: “Our priority is ensuring the clothing is comfortable for customers, as we ourselves are potential customers too.”

In addition to the business, Gayane is actively involved in journalism, working at 301 Media and covering topics related to Artsakh. Iriqnak plays an important role in her life, which she combines with her work in journalism and social activities, always striving to bring Artsakh’s voice to the world.
